This Privacy Policy explains how VR Pro Video LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Poison Croquet mobile app (“App”), its online services, and communications about the App.

Available features may differ by version and platform. The online-play sections apply when you use a version that offers online features.

At a glance

  • You can play locally against computer opponents or with people sharing your device without creating an online account.

  • Local player profiles and games are stored on your device. We do not receive those local records merely because you play offline.

  • Online play uses an account and stores information needed to operate matches, profiles, friendships, invitations, and safety features.

  • We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not show integrated advertisements or track you across other apps or websites.

  • You can contact us to request access to or deletion of personal information we hold about you.

1. Local play and information on your device

For local play, the App stores information such as player names or nicknames, selected illustrated avatars, local profile identifiers, game settings, saved matches, moves, scores, results, achievements, and gameplay statistics.

This information supports local gameplay, progress, results, and recovery of saved games. Local identifiers distinguish profiles and matches; they are not advertising identifiers.

You do not need to use your real name. We recommend using a nickname, especially for children and shared devices. Do not put contact details or other sensitive information in a player name.

Anyone able to open the App on your unlocked device may see local player profiles, saved games, and results. Local profiles are not separately password-protected accounts.

Your operating system or backup provider may include App information in device backups or transfers, depending on your settings. These copies are managed separately from our online services.

2. Information used for online play

When you use online features, we process information needed to provide those features, including:

  • Account information: a Firebase Authentication account identifier, sign-in provider identifiers, and authentication information needed to recognize and secure your account. Depending on the sign-in provider, requested permissions, and your choices, this may include an email address and a name.

  • Online profile: your chosen display name and illustrated avatar, friend code, and profile or discovery preferences.

  • Social connections: friends, friend requests, blocked players, and information needed to manage those relationships.

  • Online gameplay: match participants, moves, scores, results, saved match state, invitations, and rematch offers.

  • Safety information: reports about players and information needed to review reports, investigate abuse, and enforce game rules.

  • Technical and security information: request counts and operational information needed to authenticate requests, diagnose failures, protect the service, and prevent misuse.

Sign in with Apple may provide a real email address or a private relay email address, depending on your choices and the information the App requests. Apple and Google also process sign-in information under their own policies. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.

Information stored for online play is separate from records that remain solely on your device.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Sign you in and maintain secure access to your account.

  • Provide online profiles, friends, invitations, and matches.

  • Save and restore online games and show match results.

  • Display relevant player information to other players.

  • Maintain reliable services, investigate technical problems, and prevent fraud or abuse.

  • Review safety reports and enforce game rules.

  • Respond to support and privacy requests.

  • Meet legal obligations and protect users and our legal rights.

We do not use your gameplay information to build an advertising profile.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to provide requested services, pursue legitimate interests in operating and protecting those services, comply with legal obligations, or obtain consent where required. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

4. Information other players can see

Other players may see your chosen display name, illustrated avatar, and relevant gameplay information, such as match participation, moves, scores, and results.

Your friend code and profile information may also be visible through the App’s friend, invitation, and discovery features, depending on the feature and your settings. Accepting an invitation or sharing a code makes the information needed for that interaction available to its participants.

We do not display your sign-in email address to other players as part of your public player profile.

Use a nickname and avoid including personal or sensitive information in your display name. Information you share outside the App, including invitation links or screenshots, may be copied or forwarded by the recipients.

5. Service providers and other disclosures

We use Google services, including Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Run, to authenticate accounts, store online information, and operate online gameplay.

Our online infrastructure uses resources in the United States. Service providers may also process information in other locations under their service arrangements. Depending on where you live, using online services may involve transferring information outside your country. Where required, appropriate legal safeguards apply to those transfers.

Apple and Google separately handle their sign-in, operating-system, and app-store services. See the Google Privacy Policy and Apple Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information:

  • To service providers helping us host, secure, support, or operate the App and our business, for those purposes.

  • When you request or authorize disclosure.

  • When reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a valid government request.

  • To investigate abuse, respond to security incidents, protect people, or defend legal rights.

  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or business transfer, subject to applicable legal requirements and safeguards.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Support communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, name, message, screenshots, device details, or diagnostic material.

We use this information to respond, investigate problems, handle privacy requests, maintain necessary records, and protect our services and legal rights. Contacting support does not automatically subscribe you to marketing messages.

Please send only information needed for your request. Do not send passwords, sign-in codes, or other people’s sensitive information.

7. Retention

Local information: Local profiles, records, and saved games remain on your device until removed, replaced, or cleared, subject to the App’s storage and history limits. Removing an individual profile may not remove its name from all saved matches, completed histories, or local recovery copies.

Online information: We retain account, social, and gameplay information while needed to provide online features and maintain your account and match history. Retention depends on the type of information, whether a match remains active, account-deletion requests, and any necessary safety or legal requirements.

Safety and legal records: We may retain limited information when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, prevent fraud, protect other players, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims. Information retained for these purposes is restricted to those purposes.

Support communications: We retain communications as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, handle related follow-up, and meet necessary security, legal, or dispute-record requirements.

Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove copies in backups. Backup copies remain subject to the applicable backup lifecycle and safeguards.

8. Request account or data deletion

To request deletion of your Poison Croquet online account and associated personal information, email:

[email protected]

Use the subject “Poison Croquet Account Deletion.” Identify the account using your sign-in email address or player identifier, if available. Do not send your password or authentication codes.

You can submit this request without reinstalling the App. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify that you control the account. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

Account deletion removes access to the online account. We delete associated personal information except where limited retention is necessary for the purposes described in Section 7. If any information must be retained, we will explain the relevant categories and reasons when responding to your request.

Deleting an online account does not automatically erase local records on your devices, copies held by other players, or backups controlled by your device or backup provider.

To remove local App data, use the App’s available player controls or your operating system’s storage-management options. On Android, Clear storage / Clear data removes the App’s local storage. On iOS, deleting the App normally removes its local data; offloading the App may preserve it. Device backups may retain or later restore information, so manage those separately.

Removing Poison Croquet from your Apple or Google connected-app settings is separate from requesting deletion of information held in our online service.

9. Permissions, analytics, and app stores

The App does not require access to your contact book, precise location, camera, or microphone for the gameplay described in this policy. Illustrated avatars do not require uploading a personal photograph.

The App is built with the Unity game engine. Unity advertising, behavioral analytics, and cloud diagnostics services are disabled in the App.

Apple, Google Play, your operating system, and your device provider may separately process downloads, updates, reviews, backups, and technical diagnostics under their policies and your settings. They may make installation, stability, or performance reports available to us.

These platform services are separate from local player records and our online gameplay services.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and its purpose, including access controls for information we hold.

Local records also depend on your device’s security protections. Protect access to your device and sign-in accounts, and avoid entering sensitive information in player names or support messages.

No device, network transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Children and families

Local play can be used without creating an online account or transmitting local player profiles and games to us. We recommend nicknames and parental supervision when children use shared devices.

Online play involves transmitting account, profile, social, and gameplay information as described above. Parents and guardians should review these features before allowing a child to use them.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through online services without legally required parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information in circumstances requiring parental consent, contact [email protected]. We will investigate and delete the information or take other steps required by applicable law.

Children should ask a parent or guardian to contact support on their behalf. This policy does not replace parental notice, consent, age restrictions, or other safeguards required by applicable law.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to or a copy of personal information we hold about you.

  • Correct inaccurate information.

  • Request deletion.

  • Obtain information about processing and recipients.

  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

  • Complain to an appropriate data protection authority.

Send requests to [email protected]. We may verify your identity before acting. Rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. We cannot retrieve local-only information from your device.

Where applicable law provides an appeal right, email the same address, identify the request, and explain that you are appealing our response. We will handle the appeal as required by law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

Maryland residents: To the extent the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act applies, residents may exercise applicable access, correction, deletion, portability, recipient-information, and opt-out rights. We do not sell personal information, conduct targeted advertising, or use App records for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. You may also contact the Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division.

13. External links and changes to this policy

Visiting our website, following an external link, or using an app store involves separate services that may process information such as IP addresses, cookies, and server logs. This App policy does not describe all processing performed by those services.

We may update this policy as the App or our practices change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. A policy update alone does not authorize processing that requires consent.
